Positive still. It was such a relief after he got elected to hear your president speak in full sentences and even if he didn't write all his own speeches he seemed to understand them. With Bush Jr, you never got that feeling.

Yes, being beholden to corporations has some truth...but most leaders are in some way. He wasn't that beholden to Health Insurance companies though since he introduced the ACA.

He projects intelligence and calm. His wife is smart and classy. His kids seem to be on solid ground.

He will go down as one of your better presidents IMO.

I'm interested in what the rest of the world thinks. Please note this is NOT what you think of the US.... just president Obama.
1. México

2. I think he is a very charismatic, well spoken, attractive man. I don't believe he did anything to deserve a Nobel peace prize, and his lack of leadership regarding Latin America leaves too much to be desired. Yet more or less I've a positive impression of him.
Let's also note how Michelle his wife gave o new life to the definition of what a First Lady should be/do.

My approval rating 4/5

Or any world leader. You think Trudeau cares about the Canadian people?

1. Spain
2. I think he's been performing these 8 years below expectation. There was a big hype when he was elected that he was going to change USA (and the world) forever. Then he's been somewhat moderate (probably tied up hands by corporations) Other than that I would choose him any time before Hillary or Trump

Perhaps or perhaps not but this is not the topic.

And BTW I never said Obama does not care about the people.

Here's the perspective of an American. Hate GW Bush. Not a Hillary or Trump supporter, but a supporter of freedom; something we no longer seem to espouse.

His support of the Arab Spring has had disastrous consequences in the ME.

He spawned ISIS.

His red line in the sand with Syria was a joke.

Guantanamo is still open despite his pledge to close it.

He has been incredibly weak and lacking insight with other foreign leaders, including Putin. Our relationship with Russia has not been worse since the Cold War.

Our relationship with China has not been worse since Nixon went there and opened relations.

He has zero leadership in Latin America and when he does get involved, he's on the wrong side. I do agree with his lift the travel ban with Cuba, but he should have waited for Castro to croak before visiting. Giving any legitimacy to the Castro regime is weak. His administration's role in Honduras was despicable.

ObamaCare has pushed healthcare premiums through the roof. Deductibles are so high that even with insurance, many Americans can't pay their medical bills.

There are more Americans on government assistance then ever before in our history.

His regulatory nonsense has stifled the growth of real jobs and incomes. People are working, but the number of people working two or three part-time jobs is very sad.

On the positive side, he has been free of major scandals unless you count Benghazi which is really on Hillary.

I rate his Presidency as a D+ or a C-, but history will be more kind because he's a nice guy and because he is the first black President.
