I just remembered another misconception about Taiwan. There's this stereotype in the Chinese-speaking world (maybe plus Japan) that Taiwanese people are friendly, which is a load of crap. Taiwanese aren't friendlier than others and a lot are openly racist towards SE Asians.

There's also another misconception about our Mandarin accent, that Taiwanese guys sound girly and girls sound "cute", which is also a load of crap.
Then the smaller figure must be not counting lakes etc.

Do you think the same for the Yukon population 37,500 in 482,443 sq km, or the NWT with a population of 44,500 in 1,346,000 Sq Km's ( that's right over a million sq km's ) and Nunavut's 37,100 people living in 2,093,000 ( over 2 million sq km's !! ) don't have large swaths of unpopulated land?

This doesn't even cover the northern parts of provinces and places like Labrador.

So you can agree or disagree about there being large swaths of unpopulated land in the north of Canada, but you will just look silly thinking that 10,000 people on Baffin Island prove your point.
At least people live on Baffin Island (land), how many people live in the sea (water) between it?

As I've said earlier, your question or point is meaningless when sizing up a country. A countries size is NOT dependent on whether someone lives in or on a certain part within it's borders.

You just can't accept the fact that China is bigger than your country when you exclude the water I always thought Canadians weren't as proud as their Southern neighbors. Guess i was wrong.

Oh yes my mistake Canada is bigger than China because Tibet should't be part of China.

Why don't you want to include water? Canada's water is clean and nice and you can swim in it.
