Which decade and why, include politics, entertainment, science, anything you want to add.

In the US the 50s, 80s, and 90s are usually in the debate for the best decade, but what I'm asking is for the best decade for the entire world all around

2010's.
Decade so far with the least violence in a long time. Decade with the highest GDP per capita worldwide.

1990's for the developed world. Every year is better than the last for the third world, save war zones.

And in all terror attacks less people died than in the Srebrenica genocide in 1995.

We're leaving forever,
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll send back all the migrants as well,
I guess there is no one to blame
We're keeping the pound (keeping the pound)
Will things ever be the same again?

It's the final countdown
The final countdown

Oh We're heading for Brexit (Brexit)
And still we stand tall
'Cause maybe they've seen us (seen us)
And will try to punish us all, yeah
With so many negotiation years to go
And things to be found (to be found)
I'm sure that we'll not miss the EU legislation abound

It's the final countdown
The final countdown
The final countdown
The final countdown
Oh The final countdown, oh
It's…

The Final Countdown Lyrics - Europe

The most peaceful years were the 1990's when the Cold War ended with the exception of the Balkan states. However in terms of technology and advances, the current world is far ore interesting.
