Those aren't the most expensive cities, they are the least affordable ones, which means that the real estate is expensive compared to local wages. San Francisco real estate might be more in dollars then real estate in Honolulu, but if wages are higher in SF then Honolulu will be higher on the list.

Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town on the south coast of England and not a City, whilst Dorset is a County and again not a City. I should imagine Bournemouth and Dorset have been included largely because of areas such as Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs and numerous other areas along the Dorset coastline.

The very wealthy even helicopter in for the weekend from London, just as they do in relation to the Hamptons in the US.

Pleased that London isn't in the top ten or other British Cities.
