Uh....no

A while ago yes (welll, maybe). But with the dollar no longer top dog, US policies being rejected or laughed at, the US could slip into obscurity and people would barely notice. Trade between China, the EU and India would happily continue

Lucky really - it's happening!

I'd move to Mexico, Sweden, or Norway. Canada or the UK could be a possibility. But it's highly unlikely the US would become a third world country. I would consider retiring in a different country.

I'd like to say that I'll live & die in the "States"
maybe my home turf low populations, The Adirondack Mtn.'s of NY & Gerrn Mtn.'s of Vermont, Practicality says hope that Canada will let me in or any of the UK nations.
However a good portion of the world seems to think that My country has become, if not evil, then morally bankrupt, Selfish self-centerted slobs. And deny entry

Ummmm, if the US became a 3rd world country you'd move to Mexico? Mexico is still considered a 3rd world country.
Personally I'd stay even if it were a 3rd world country. Unless I couldn't find a job. Then the country I'd go to depends on where I could find one.

I'd say I would have to go to norway. It would be cool to stomp around the lands of my great grand father. And the mountains are just awesome........But then I have also looked at New Zealand, I have read it described as a young America, still growing and plenty of opportunity.

As a practical matter, there are two options, both of which preclude the scenario of the OP.

1. If the US became a third-world country, every other country in the world probably would, too, so there would be no advantage to going elsewhere.

2. Or, if some countries remained first-world, they would not let Amerians in, any more readily than we let Mexicans or Africans or Asians in. Even today, there are very few countries that an Amerian can fairly easily immigrat into and live there. Most developed countries today keep Amerians out, because they don't want us sponging off their free health care.
