I have a new job paying foreign countries. I have to convert foreign money to the US dollar. Can some explain the different in Yen, Euro. Do they use the decimal point like the United States
I work in the former Soviet Union and can tell you that they use decimal points where we use commas, etc (for all currencies). For example, where we would write 1,200.25 they write 1.200,25. Look for the two digits at the end, and see what separates it from the rest of the number to know whether their practices are in keeping with our American ones.
You should be happy to be getting paid in Euros with the current exchange rate.
