The "capital of the world" usually is a city from a developed country (and that makes sense), so i have a doubt: if we only consider developing countries, what city would be the capital of them? Considering various factors as population, economy, culture, history, diversity, etc.
I think honestly it's too hard for there to be one among developing countries. Do they all interact only with each other, enough that there would be one influencing the others?
I think Beijing (you consider China developing) has some degree to which they can even claim world capital status). In regards to Latin America, I do wonder whether one or the other of São Paulo/Mexico City is more influential, but honestly I think it's simply that one has influence over northern reaches, and one southern (though São Paulo may be more global). The others are global in their own ways, but Beijing is probably the winner here from this pool IMO. Just so much power/influence.

That is true, and I would say they probably had more inwards migration diversity than would say a China. I definitely would say you aren't wrong on Rio being influential. They do have what is widely considered one of the most beautiful immediate land settings in the world. The favelas are world famous for the dense lifestyle, but also the unique culture that likely lends. You have Carnival, soccer, beach culture (Copacabana is in minds of some world's most famous beach), there's also "The Girl from Ipanema" etc. and a pretty fair sized economy. I think it would be reasonable to say that Rio is Brazil's "face to the world", or "cultural capital", Sao Paulo is it's financial capital, and of course Brasilia it's political one.
That being said though, I'm just not sure it compares to the influence of say Beijing in terms of economics, geopolitics, etc. China is the world's biggest country by population (1/4) the world, and has the world's largest PPP as of now, and while it's citizens lack certain basic freedoms, it's also shockingly advanced and modern in many ways, about more than any place in the world. I don't have more stats to back this up, but I would have to imagine decisions made in Beijing send shockwaves around the earth similar to those decisions made in DC. It may not be as much of a financial center as Shanghai, but it has a pretty big GDP also I believe, and controls very much what happens in Hong Kong, Shanghai and beyond.
The developed world is far too fractured for their to be a single point of power. Out of your list, the closest contender would be Shanghai in terms of power/influence but even that is a far cry from being an informal capital of the developing world.

Shangai shouldn' t be on the list, we are in 2017, not 2007 or 1997. So barring Shangai , I'd vote for Delhi, the capital of the second most populous country in the world, which is still -in spite of some high-tech achievments- a developing country.

China is not a developed country. It's per capita GDP of USD 9844 is not enough to be a developed country.
Chinese cities have a bigger political importance, whereas the mentioned Latin American cities lack political significance but have much more global feels to them. Aside from Cuzco and MX most LA cities lack history, especially compared to China. Bangkok should be considered too imo
