Depends. In Vegas I would get a rental car immediately and drive to a better place, such as Grand Canyon, maybe Sedona, Red Rock Canyon, could be even towards Death Valley.

Vegas is ok for a night two at the most. Switzerland by far! Climb, Hike,Ski repeat.

Frankly, OP, LV offers absolutely nothing of interest to me. Nothing. Weather's lousy (too hot), urban environment, gambling--really??!, nothing scenic--very stark surroundings, in fact, I can't imagine being trapped there for a week, or even a couple of days. You can't compare it to Switzerland. They're like night and day.

I LOOOVE Vegas! Easily one of my favorite places in the whole world!
But 7 days is a bit too long for Vegas. I would absolutely lose my mind.
