Ten Miles to the West of Bradford lies the village of Haworth were one of the darkest love stories ever was written.

Quote:

First I found the place

I wondered who had lived there

What their lives were like.

Something whispered to my mind, and I began to write.

My pen creates stories of a world that might have been-- a world of my imagining.

And here is one I'm going to tell.

But take care...not to smiIe at any part of it.
Quote:

Three graves by a Low wall where the churchyard meets the open moor.

A generation lost and gone.

Edgar, Cathy, Heathcliff.

May they sleep sound in that quiet earth.

But country folk will swear on their BibIes that he still waIks.

Kate Bush in that white dress in the Wuthering Heights music video still makes me go weak at the knees.

Like Kate Bush, a lot.

The American Writer Sylvia Plath is also buried nearby at Heptonstall near Haydon Bridge, although the grave keeps having her husband Ted Hughes name removed by feminists, who blame his behaviour and philandering for her suicide aged 30. Plath is buried in Hughes's native Yorkshire.
