I would show them the big mega cities like New York, London, Paris, Tokyo... first and then focus on smaller areas.
If they have the resources to reach Earth, they should have plenty of time to stick around and check out the natural wonders we have.

Somewhere miserable so they wouldn't be interested in invading. Like some famine-stricken places in Africa or some mess like Bangladesh or Venezuela.

Probably London. One can show him a lot of historical European stuffs as well as significant Asian (Chinese, Indian, Pakistanian...) or eastern European communities.

Same can be said of Bradford, only because of its smaller size Bradford would probably prove to be more 'ideal'.

I didn't want to show off too much towards the Alien. If it would see Bradford, it must go back to his home planet and tell everybody how nice and rich planet earth is, and then probably they will come back for an invasion.
