They are polar opposites. But 2000 people who decide to commit suicide doesn't represent all 25 million inhabitants.
2000 people do not represent all 25 million but I would not slap the title of "happiest countries" to these nations...at all....they are comparable to every other industrialized nation, no more no less...

I'm not interested in a link what Michael Booth says. I read those years ago.
Why don't you come up with any argument whatsoever? You say the studies are bogus, but you offer nothing instead. Only "I feel like it".

End of discussion.
My argument is very clear.....there is no reason for the Nordic countries to be "happier" than other first industrialized countries, I traveled in these countries and talked to people.....many natives consider these ranking a joke, exactly as Booth wrote.
For people that visited these nations is very common (in my experience) to hear "I could/would never ever live here"....sure they are great to visit and offer a good standard of living...

Ok, so your anecdotal evidence trumps these "bogus junk science" studies? You're an authority now?
Not that I believe for a second that you have ever set your foot here, or anywhere else outside your basement.
Thing is a higher suicide rate signifies a lack of attention to mental health and likely a bunch of other problems that push people to commit suicide, like harsh climate, lack of opportunity, high expectations, etc

At least here those factors aren't significant:

Whatever...typical end of the road when you are short on arguments
There is no "authority on happiness" by the way...
Have a nice one
Then why are you talking like you are one?
"My argument is very clear.....there is no reason for the Nordic countries to be "happier" than other first industrialized countries, I traveled in these countries and talked to people....."
You say there is no reason, as if that is the final and absolute answer.

I've got news for you, it's not.
Not to mention that his only 'argument' is "I feel like", and then blaming me of running out of arguments.
