Which of the G4 countries (Brazil, Germany, India, Japan) deserves to be admitted as a permanent member of the UNSC? (winter, Russians)

Brazil, Germany, India, Japan have long been advocating to be permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) alongside the five existing permanent members being China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States, but so far their efforts have so far been to no avail.

Germany and Japan. Especially Germany. It feels like the only big nation that hasn’t gone completely mad.

Not that it would make any difference. UNSC is pretty pointless in general.

It gives the country tremendous prestige and right to develop nuclear arsenal.

I don't think countries who are not permanent members of UN Security Council think the permanent members have "tremendous prestige ". They are just a bunch of countries who act according to interests of their countries. Nothing more.

All of them, but the option of a single veto being able to put a stop to things would need to be removed.

Russian-Japanese war was won (though not officially) by the Japanese. Same with the first sino-Japanese war.

Germans destroyed the Roman Empire.

I would say all of them except India. India is still a third world country for all intents and purposes and really should not have any nuclear power imo

Russians jointly won WWII, hands down (they've won current Syrian war, but that's small potatoes), Japanese utterly defeated.

Chinese conquered huge chunk of world's largest continent, unified it under single-party government, tremendous achievement - no different than what the Americans and Russians had achieved the previous century -, and they ain't done yet.

Brazil? Japan?
