Australia seems so conservative these days, compared to countries like New Zealand and Canada (other anglo countries) Australia seems so conservative, both politically and socially too. Why is this the case???

I think society in Australia overall is too complacent and unmotivated to be an international leader for progressiveness. Is there an Australian politician with notable mainstream support whose policies would revolutionise Australia?

There will always be winners and losers from change. Personally i think our media is to blame, they do nothing but concentrate on the later.
