Looking for replies from people who currently live there or who have visited within the past year.

We are three Latinos who are considering taking a few days in Oman during our trip to India this Autumn. Would like to know if it's safe for us in terms of whether there is risk for us being targeted due to being Westerners/non-Muslim? Are there are any issues with ISIS or similar groups in Oman?

I've read that Oman historically has been very safe, tolerant of different religions, and hasn't had any issues with terrorism. Would like to know if this is still true?

Many western expats live there in Oman. Unless there is any advisory by your Embassy on not visiting that country, I find no reason to believe that visitng there is unsafe.

Yeah, its fine. I was there a while back. Quite an interesting country, with some nice landscape, but nowhere nearly as developed as the UAE.

I visited Oman. Even the largest city of Muscat is quite small. It's an easy-going place, with many expats who work there.
