I believe Germany, USA, Australia, Canada, China, India are some major contenders in the competition.
Is Germany really the only one in comparison not that massive? At least for geographic miles coverage in just one Continent?

Berlin, Hamburg, Munich Bavaria, Cologne North Rhine Westphalia
Up To 4 Cities exceeding 1 Million People
Frankfurt Hesse, Stuttgart Baden Wurttemberg, Dusseldorf North Rhine Westphalia, Dortmund North Rhine Westphalia,
Essen North Rhine Westphalia, Leipzig Saxony, Bremen, Dresden Saxony, Hanover Lower Saxony, Nuremburg Bavaria are above 500,000.
Reaching 14 Major Cities Of Germany! Including to economic output capacity.

Just under 20% of Canada's GDP is generated in Toronto's metro area.

Second place is Montreal with about 12% of Canada's GDP.

Turns out Colombia has substantially less than the projected 50 million this year even with huge Venezuelan migration. Initial results counted only 45 million with the margin of error and further data that amount has been rounded up to 48 million. https://www.efe.com/efe/america/soci...000013-4016430

Therefore, in line with the thread Colombia should present its 15th city and not its 20th.

Colombia's 15th city

I was under the impression that Colombia had already crossed the 50 million mark.

So were most people. Turns out birth rate has plumeted since 2005, young people prefering to have a pet than have kids. The 2018 census only returned a 42.88 million count. With the margin of error it was raised to 45 million. After further community analysis and migration data the final concensus is that there is a population of 48.2 million including some over-seas long-stayers (6 months to a year out of the country) and new Venezuelan migrants.

I had an inkling about this. People tend to push up a population when the figure is lower in reality. Everyone says Bogota is a city of 10million when in fact its closer to 7 million.
