I don't understand, people say that it is evil, that it is an imperialists, that it is a terrorist nation.
They say that it is creates wars, murders millions, props up dictators, siphons a huge portion of the world's resources, continues to make poor countries poor, continues to make rich countries puppets, forces their way of life unto others..... I don't understand why the world, despite all of these and so many more won't stand up to them?
Is the world too afraid? Is the money they give you enough to throw away your dignity?

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I want to know why that hasn't happened yet?
The America I grew up in the 1940s has already destroyed itself from within, and it has been replaced by one I hardly recognize. That process is probably ongoing and somebody will say the same thing in 2060.
I'm hardly a fervent super-patriot, but I have studied enough of history, and the humanities, to recognize that the societal forces categorized as "the Enlightenment" represent the principal driving force behind all human progress; it has defeated Nazism, Marxism, and is currently making short work of the follies known as "Social Justice" and "Political Correctness".
And, while it is currently under attack by forces from within via mechanisms such as illegal immigration and the dumbing-down of our educational system, American democratic pluralism represents the single strongest embodiment of those forces,
Do your damnedest, Lefties! Canada, or maybe someone else might replace us at the head of the pack, but outside of the rotting cities and blue-state sinkholes, the spirit of the rebels and outcasts who founded the American Experiment is alive and well.
