I live in a wealthy country where people have access to basic needs, it is guaranteed. So having more money than others does not translate into being upper class.

Rather, the way you behave yourself is what screams upper class versus working class. So you can work as a cleaning lady but behave with class and people will value you more than the wife of a lawyer who dresses tacky and acts like new money.

Where I live, being working class trash entails.

BEING OVERWEIGHT: Shows you are not educated on what eating healthy means.

SHOPPING A LOT: Shows your lack of education in regards to the planet. You dont care about polluting because you are ignorant.

TAKING CHEAP FLIGHTS TO MAINSTREAM DESTINATIONS SUFFERING FROM EXCESIVE TOURISM: Thailand, Barcelona, Ibiza, Venice, weekend in Paris for 45 Euros courtesy of Ryanair, Rome 2 nights round trip 39 euros.

ADOPTING ASIAN RELIGIOUS BELIEFS TO FEEL WORLDLY: Therefore you display statues of Buddha in your house or window (Some people decorate their windows with buddhas hehehe), even though you have nothing to do with that culture

HAVING IKEA FURNITURE INSTEAD OF ANTIQUES OR DATED FURNITURE.
Shows you lack knowledge of design therefore anything IKEA will do because it looks cute in your head.

HAVING A BMW, MERCEDES WHILE NOT HAVING A WELL PAID JOB THAT ALLOWS YOU TO WASTE MONEY ON SUCH THINGS. The convertible BMW looks nice, oh and you have to work to pay your bills, and dont have a college degree….. OK, not smart with your finances, rather status seeking.

WATCHING REALITY TV SHOWS, OR TOO MANY HOLLIWOOD FILMS VERSUS SPECIFIC GENRES OF MOVIES. I rather watch transformers 7 over the new obscure film from Uganda because EVERYONE is watching the transformers.

NOT HAVING BOOKS IN YOUR HOUSE, AND NOT READING.

WANTING TO HAVE A HUGE HOUSE, WITH A LUXURY CAR, AND AN ENORMOUS CLOSET FULL OF STUFF. That screams trashy to this culture.... cultured refined people tend to be more on the minimalist side.

SHOPPING AT MAINSTREAM STORES LIKE H&M, DESIGUAL, ZARA While not having your own independent style…. refined people buy expensive cloths and they keep them for ages. So while you spend in a Zara coat 100 bucks, they will spend on that prada coat 1000 euros and keep it for decades as it is stylish, classy and ageless.

HAVING TWITTER, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM
. There is an interesting link between social media and education... the higher the education the less social media exposure the individual will have.

OBSESSING OVER FOOTBALL TEAMS You know more about Real Madrid, Milan, Juventus, PSG than about politics.

How is it in your countries?

Trashy = people from Medellin and their delusions of grandeur. Judging people based on looks.

Trashy: supporters of Lula if you support Bolsonaro, supporters of Bolsonaro if you support Lula, and supporters of neither if you support either Lula or Bolsonaro.

Seriously, prejudice in Brazil has nowadays much more to do with political preference than any other thing.

Trashy in Vancouver is people driving $250,000 luxury cars with an N sticker on it (which indicates you are a novice driver) and probably bought it from your parents money gained through money laundering.

Or people buying multimillion dollar houses with cash and list their occupation as student or homemaker, again likely through money laundering.
