Rome and Athens are 2 of my favorites. I lived in NYC for many years and enjoyed every minute, but over the past decade or so it seems to have lost "something".

Marrakesh is on my list of places to check out. If I had a time machine, I'd travel back to San Francisco for the summer of love.

Athens? really? It's just a normal cookie cutter city (with a few historical places) and not really an attractive one at that.

Thessaloniki is the best city i've ever been to, hundreds of times better than athens. If only I had known that before my trip I would have spent less time in athens and more in thessaloniki.

Second favorite would be sydney.
