Good climate (No blizzards or constant gray. Tropical is better, but not required.)
Standalone city of under 200,000.
Able to live without a car.
Low crime.
Not too religious or politically driven.
This one's the most important: Access to nature/wildlife/beauty.
I'd like you to please name two places:
The first can be from anywhere. The second must be from a place where at least 25% of people know English, even if it's a 2nd/3rd/19th language.
If the BEST place you think of satisfies that last requirement, obviously name only that place.
1. Povoa do Varzim, Portugal
2. Bridgetown, Barbados
I'm very intrigued by Barbados. You might change my life here. Could you please give me you impression (good and bad) of the area? What is your experience there? Thanks! I owe you a beer (if you're of age). -- John
