On the south side of the Grossglockner--just north of Lientz, Austria and the Italian border. It's simply the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

This is my instinctual reaction to this question...a place that is high value and a place that I can reasonably believe I will want to be in for the long term even if things in the world go a little bit haywire. So my pick is Singapore, as long as it is a freehold (not on multi-year lease from the govt). Landed + freehold properties in Singapore are extremely valuable and I feel fairly confident that Singapore will be a safe and desirable place for well into the future.

Thinking about it more, I suppose Manhattan, San Francisco or Hawaii would all be great (perhaps even better) alternatives. But if you're offering it to me, I'm certainly more than satisfied with Singapore. Also, there are plenty of contenders that I simply don't know well enough to compare. (UK, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Monaco come to mind)
