The building is owned by Bloomberg, and is one the last buildings ever completed by one of Australia's most decorated Architects, it won the top prize for for commercial architecture in 2007, national architecture awards of Australia.
Wow, for it being the most affluent neighbourhood of the city they sure went to some effort to make sure nobody suicides off that building..... or does a spiderman thing up the walls to break in. But it looks like a prison with the chain link fencing around the balcony and windows.

That's for stopping little kids from falling off the building. Pretty standard here. The previous owner probably had little kids living with him. As you can see in the other, more expensive apartment, there is nothing like that, probably because the owner didn't have little kids living with him.
I think this Brisbane property is more comparable to the other listings. Not sure about the pricing though. A half size unit(187sqm/2,012sqft) 5 stories below(82.05) seems to be asking AUD 2.3m($1.7m, $845/sqft), and a quarter size unit(101sqm/1,087sqft) 2 stories below(85.03) is asking AUD 1.35m($1.0m, $915/sqft). Maybe around AUD 4.0-4.5m assuming zero premium for the sub-penthouse unit, or up to AUD 7-8m assuming 70-100% premium for the sub-penthouse unit

These properties are still above average in any of those cities. They are small because they're mostly upscale properties, located close to the heart of these cities. Monaco is probably the only city where $3m puts you real close to the rock bottom.
