I was able to understand about 90% of what she said. I’m a non native Spanish speaker. To my ears it sounds like Castilian Spanish, with a few different words here and there. I was intrigued by the different spellings and the use of “k” which is exceptionally rare in written Spanish.
Ladino is an old form of Spanish spoken by descendants of Jews expelled from Spain.
They also absorbed some from Portugal I listened for three minutes I could understand everything but the word she used for grandfather and they way she pronounced the words school and short sleeves I could hear a blend of Castilian Spanish and Portuguese blended. Her body language and demeanor in addition to the phoenetics feels very familiar to me.
it sounds completely understandable to me. It just seems like someone speaking Castillian Spanish with a few different pronunciations thrown in. This lady speaks super clearly, which I'm sure helps
