In Vancouver we do have 24 hours pharmacies/drug stores. They offer a lot more than just pharmaceuticals.
You can buy basic groceries for example, although there are some 24 hours grocery stores. Not many that I know of.

Nightlife. Well, when I was clubbing, there was always some club somewhere going full tilt all night. Legal or not.

Legally clubs close at 4am but stop serving liquor at 2 or 3? Not sure.

Vancouver though isn't thought of as a 24 hour city like Vegas. Lot's of fun to be had, but Vancouver's focus is more on the outdoors. Too many of us, want to be in bed before midnight since we usually have plans that include some sort of physical activity, even if it's just a 2 hour walk.

Madrid and Barcelona also have 24 hours pharmacies.
For instance, according to what I can see online, Madrid metropolitan area - with six million inhabitants - tonight has 55 pharmacies running as 24 hour ones among a total of 2,300 pharmacies, so it means less than 3% of all the pharmacies of the whole metropolitan area keep open 24/7.
In fact, most of them only open at daytime from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

I guess a true 24-hour city such as New York City has a bigger rate of pharmacies that keep open 24/7.
What is the rate for Vancouver?
To any other CD members living in other big cities, I'm interested to hear your input on this.

I don't know of truly 24-hours cities in Brazil. Even Sao Paulo and Rio Janeiro I wouldn't consider.

Sure there are a few restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies always open. A lot of this places are strategically located near nightclubs to get the after party movement. So it's not like you could just go out in the middle of the night and easily find a 24-hour store in a short distance.

In terms of Emergency Dentists and Medical Care, most cities seem to have such provisions.

As for NYC some areas are more 24 hour than others, for instance compare Time Square and parts of Manhattan to Staten Island.

The same is true of London, where places like Soho and other parts of Central London are far more 24 hour than some of the more suburban boroughs.
