I have read online that several European countries have mixed vaccines, giving people two doses of different vaccines. Giving people AstraZeneca for their first shot and something else for their second. Countries like Spain, France and Germany. How did this go over with the public? Were people accepting of it? Do you know of any one that recieved two different shots?

Here in Bulgaria it's done but you need more than 84 days between your first and second dose.

It says what European countries are doing it. Obviously people are OK with that. They aren't getting vaccinated at a gunpoint - they have choice.
It's a study on volunteers.

The trial in UK was expanded. It's too early to say about it much but effects are promising.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I will have to mix vaccines here. Has anyone else on here had mixed vaccines?

I had a 1st shot of AstraZeneca. Got high temp. the first nigh and a fever.
Waited for about 80-sth days. Got my 1st shot of Pfizer. After 20 days I might due a 2nd Pfizer shot (so a 3rd one). I'm not sure. But I'm glad I did it, RNA vaccines give better protection I think. I still had high temp though.

So you took AZ for your first and Pfizer for your second and they are recommending you get another shot of Pfizer after 20 days? That seems pretty soon after to get a booster shot, or is that simply how they are doing it out there, three shots in total?

Getting the 3rd shot, 20 days after the 2nd shot seems a bit early.
I had my 1st shot in early April, and have received notification for my 2nd shot.

In Apr 15 2021, Pfizer's Chief Executive Albert Bourla said people will 'likely' need a third booster dose of COVID-19 vaccines within 12 months of getting fully vaccinated.
A likely scenario is that there will be likely a need for a third dose, somewhere between six and 12 months and then from there, there will be an annual revaccination, but all of that needs to be confirmed. And again, the variants will play a key role,” he told CNBC’s Bertha Coombs during an event with CVS Health.

I agree but the "wonderful" Bulgarian authorities work like that. Of course I will not do the 3rd dose that soon. The side effects are so bad for me! Sinus issues, feeling dizzy, high temp for the first night.
