Why did the U.S. have carte blanche in WW II and Israel doesn't have carte blanche? Inquiring minds wonder.

Maybe because Israel is a recognised signed up sovereign state and Hamas are a terrorist organisation, it’s a rather silly question

Well I have no ill feelings towards Jewish people, I’ve had Israeli Jews as guests in our B+B , I still oppose the Israeli state engaging in the confiscation of the land belonging to Arabs in order to make way for new developments for Americans and Russians etc

Nothing healthy about fetishising a country like happens in America in some circles

Did it ? , regardless, it’s commonly accepted today by the international group of nations that when waging war, you do not have licence to kill everything that moves , it’s hardly a negative principle?

all these silly pro palestine protests calling for a cease fire are saying nothing about the brutal slaying of civilian Jews by Hamas, I find it all so one sided.

No. They bombed a place where a Hamas mastermind was operating and that also had a tunnel complex underneath. That Hamas put "innocents" in that area is on them - and that is by design. And you fell for it..or wanted to.

Innocent in quotes. Such a mind sees enemies everywhere and that is a sad way to live.

The sad way to live is to have such hate for Jews and the State of Israel that they deny the usage of human shields by Hamas, as you have done.

Given the lopsided civilian death toll on both sides, don't you think "an eye for an eye" has been satisfied ?

What a silly nonsensical statement. Their is no "eye for an eye" objective in this war, the objective is to destroy Hamas so that such atrocities that occurred on October 7th do not reoccur. If Israel could do that without any civilians casualties that would be great, but the sad reality is that Hamas is hiding behind it's civilians population in a densely populated urban area.
