I think this thread should be on the Politics & Controversies Forum rather than here.

The link is a podcast. It may or may not be available to everyone everywhere. Please post if you managed to access it and how you did. It is a very quiet and reasoned analysis and discussion of the history of the siege of the Palastinians.
This is from the Apple podcast site. It may be available otherwise also. If you were able to access it please post how you did. I have provided the URL for the podcast below.

I suggest you are very careful in terms of any support or promotion of an organisation that is a proscribed Terrorist group in numerous countries and which is subject to various counter-terrorism legislation, and that includes on-line discussions.

A new captital city could be established to house the government elsewhere and Jerusalem would simply remain a cultiral and religious center for the country. Then maybe the two peoples would stop fighting with each other.
Any such “election“ would be one man, one vote, one time. Even if it preceded without massive violence, the element which now constitutes Hamas will quickly overwhelm any elected government. The idea of elections of this kind is a sick joke.

You can try and see them that way, hear their stories. We all need to make an effort, not lazy declerations.
I think that number might be 2% at most..

Elections cannot take place without the PLO blessing them. Also a full 60% of Palestinians live in the PLO-governed West Bank.

Neither Hamas nor the PLO will hold elections that don’t cover both Gaza and the West Bank as it would destroy both of their claims to be the legitimate representatives of the Palestinian people. Fundamentally, the only elections that the international community would recognize would have to be organized by the internally recognized government of the Palestinians, which as mentioned above is led by the PLO.

For the record, Hamas won quite a few votes in the West Bank back in 2006 as well.
The PLO govern the West Bank, Hamas run Gaza , the PLO aren’t exactly in the good books of Hamas either

Absolutely agree , my earlier post merely stated that when this current military campaign ends , focus must return to illegal settlement building and outside powers must not be shy about confronting Israel
about it

No side gets to have everything on its own terms

I thought Americans held private property rights as sacred ?

Perhaps you are fine with someone confiscating your land , demolishing your house , building a new one and inviting their cousin from Brooklyn over ?, afterall, their great , great , great , great , great times ten ancestors probably lived on the same land?
