Love this thread! The Azores, by far, was the craziest, omg we aren't going to make it, airport I've flown into.
My plane was bigger than this one and it was late at night when we landed. (Sorry for the link, I don't know how to get the video to show up here!) https://youtu.be/91Go0QRJ5sQ
My favorites were Ljubljana (Slovenia) in the Alps and Dubrovnik (Croatia) on the Adriatic. Nothing special about the landing in Dubrovnik but the approach from anywhere to the North is gorgeous.
It has one of the most impressive natural beauty not just at the airport, but the entire valley as seen as the airplane is on final for landing. The video (and printscreens) doesn't compare to how it's in reality and, in fact, no video does. It impresses even to those that know the area, imagine how much it must impress to those that hsve never been there. It's quite a treat for the eyes
I guess you haven’t seen Maiquetia airport in Venezuela
Check this landing to the city of Pasto in southern Colombia. It’s a sizeable city and regional international airport. It’s enough to give you anxiety, especially when the automated warning begins to shout “Terrain, Terrain”.
This is Pasto

San Diego is another one to mention, from flying over the mountains and making a sharp descent to the final approach that takes you right by downtown and over Balboa Park.
