Which ones are your favorite? Mine include Tokyo (both airports, for different reasons), Seattle-Tacoma, Honolulu, NYC (JFK, haven't flown in to LGA), Mexico City

The old Hong Kong Airport (Kai Tak.)

A thrilling landing over a crowded city, passing apartment high rises on the approach. I last experienced this landing in early 1998, before the airport closed.

The new airport approach is over water.

St. John's, Newfoundland, in the fog. The Torbay airport is sometims shut down for days at a time by fog (1970s). EPA pilots had a policy if making three tries, an then going back to Gander. One night, I got in on a third try, with a standing ovation for the flight crew. The scenery is not so great, but you sure get a tingle in your underparts..

Actually, I was disappointed by the landing. I had hit it off with my pretty seatmate, and was rooting for the Gander hotel.

Santiago, Dom Rep

It has one of the most impressive natural beauty not just at the airport, but the entire valley as seen as the airplane is on final for landing. The video (and printscreens) doesn't compare to how it's in reality and, in fact, no video does. It impresses even to those that know the area, imagine how much it must impress to those that hsve never been there. It's quite a treat for the eyes.
