As I stated in the thread about which of those two states are similar to Japan, I concluded that Georgia is more similar to South Korea. Here's the reasons why:

- Georgia is smaller/less populated than Florida, just as S. Korea is smaller/less populated than Japan, almost proportionately
- Georgia is pretty much a mono-metropolis state, while the secondary city (Savannah) is port city like Busan
- Both are recently epicenters of pop culture
- Both are known for barbecue in their cuisines
- Both have colder climates than Florida/Japan
- Both have more aggressive/less friendly cultures than Florida/Japan

Really, neither is similar. I thought Korea was relatively similar to Japan, but nothing like the US. Seoul and NYC are somewhat comparable but that’s about it.

I would have thought LA would be more comparable to Seoul, especially geographically having hills/mountains in the middle of the city and also people/culture.

One thing I noticed about Florida, especially for the populous metro of South Florida, is that Korean BBQ restaurants are scarce. Most of them are fused with Japanese or Chinese cuisine. There's not even anything like an Iron Age.

Japan also has mountains so it's the one factor that goes against Florida being similar to either of them. If only Florida had mountains like the Smokies in TN/NC then it would be the perfect place. Also if it had seasons instead of perpetual summer, at least in the northern part. It does get somewhat cold in winter but still doesn't really count.
