I have been to Canberra Once, on a high school Ski trip 30 years ago.

We had a few hours in Canberra, while on our way to Australian Alps, which start about 200km further south.

Lived in the DC area (Northern Virginia) for most of 2018. Went into the city every weekend. Haven't been back since then, so 4 years.

For my state (California): I was last in Sacramento a month and a half ago. I was visiting a couple friends in the Sierras and got dinner there on the way back.

I'm in DC at least once a quarter.

But "visited" - museums, monuments, etc? 5 or so years.

It is worth more than that. Lots for little kids to do too. We had two nights there last month, on the way to Melbourne. Went to the markets, the Art Gallery and to old Parliament House, which I love. Food was good and the only issue is having to drive around in circles all the time (even with navigators!) and then not much parking.
