I watched on Good Morning America this morning and they said that this religion group, I can't remember which, said the world is ending next Thursday. Does anyone think this is going to really happen? I guess we'll have to see in 6 days from now. SPOOKY......having to wait and see what will happen!

Were they basing it on the calendar (can't remember the name of it). Actually, no, I don't believe anyone knows the date of the end except for God Almighty.
The world will most likely end when the sun gets so large that it swallows it up, so to speak. Now, as for the human population that resides on the earth, well that's unclear. Most likely, it isn't going to happen next month, but then you never know when an alien race will land on the earth turning us all into pod people.

Seems people sometimes crawl out of the woodwork to declare dates for their favorite doomsday scenarios. There are more doomsday scenarios than you can shake a stick at. Here's a site that compiles a variety of ways that could cause the end of the world. Take your pick.
I'm graduating on Friday after 3 years of 100 % pain and 0 % spare time. If the world ends on Thursday it's only because I have found out my grades in certain subjects...
In all honesty, aren't there pretty much a prophecy about the world ending for just about every year up until year 3 000?
No, the world isn't ending on Thursday, it's ending in 2036 when the comet/asteroid (can't remember which one is which) probably hits earth. Oh, but there is a bright side to it all: all of the world as we know it won't be wiped out. It all depends on where the comet/asteroid lands!

Next Thursday! How horrible! I wanted to see Scott McClellan testify before the House Judiciary Committee next Friday! Darn it!
