Hahahaha. Well honestly since im Scottish i do prefer my flag on its own. Give us a much more of a proud feeling.

I've seen people with mini's that have the saltire on it, quite nice.

Well spotted

Curious there are 20 other countries that use the Union Jack in their flag while only 2 use the format of the US flag. Seems it has a broader appeal or influence. From pure aesthetics I think the Brazilian flag is prettier than either.

Some of us down 'ere have been trying to get rid of the UJ for years, there's another thread somewhere about it.
Between you and me ....just quietly.....I'd rather see *whispering* the stars and stripes on the Aust flag!

I'd rather have our lovely saltire. Well actually in Scotland you mostly see the Saltire flying instead of the UJ.

The Saltire would be ok too. It's that Other One I object to. I'm surprised I haven't landed in big trouble yet - I'm not being deliberately provocative or anything. Much.

I like the fact that they are both somewhat similar. Both red, white and blue noting the link between British and American heritage.

Oh god No! I really hope your not serious? No offence to Americans! But in no way would I want to see the Union Jack, Being replaced with the "Stars and Stripes". We need a new representative flag...Not another Colonial identifier!

errrm... no its the other way about, the star spangled banner is so much better than the union jack, and the saltire is the only part worth keeping in the union jack as SCOTLAND RULES
