Not bitter. Simply rational. To be young and ignorant is no virtue or excuse.

I understant where you're coming from.

As you get a little older and see more of the world, I believe you'll come to appreciate what we have here a little more than you do at this point in your life.

If I were to move out of country, I would go to the UK someplace.

Seeing more of the world is precisely how I figured out that America has a long way to go and a lot of heavy lifting to do to keep up. We're becoming less healthy, more violent, less equal, and less educated, more wasteful, etc. year by year. Pretending that it isn't true or that it isn't important doesn't help anything.

We have little here that can't be found in similarly rich nations. And of what we do have here that others don't, we're slowly starting to realize that it isn't all good for us.

By "best" are you talking politically or natural beauty?

The entire world has beautiful places. I particularly love Germany for its beauty. France is beautiful. Iran is beautiful. Great Britain is beautiful. Spain is beautiful. Argentina is beautiful.

The whole world is a beautiful place.

I totally understand and agree with what you are saying. While I might not have had the same experience in terms of travel, this is a big world and there is so much out there that people do not even realize.

I haven't been outside the US so can't really judge.

Still going by a mix of life satisfaction and development I'd say Switzerland or Ireland. Maybe Denmark and Iceland as alternates, although Iceland's having big problems of late. (Ireland is too, but I don't think their's are as severe as Iceland)

As a more conservative Catholic type person I might pick either Ireland or Malta.

I think North Korea is very underated. What a spectacular example of a modern democracy where social and civilian needs are addressed and prioritized before it's military.
