The £190,000 supercar was put on a scheduled flight from Qatar to Heathrow – then flown BACK after the oil check.

Money was no object as the flight would have cost the owner – thought to be a Sheikh – around £20,000.

Stupid news. It goes to show there's not much correlation between intelligence and prosperity. Despite all their wealth, this Arab, and others like him are from countries without their own know-how. How backward and retarded.

I lived in Beirut for awhile back when all of the rich Gulfies would spend their summers in Lebanon. It was funny at the airport to see their cars being offloaded from the airliners after the passengers departed. They had plenty of nice cars in Lebanon - always amazed me that these guys felt it necessary to ship their cars with themselves for the summer.

Yup, these people are so primitive in their thinking.
They contribute nothing positive to the world, only by sheer pure luck they have one commodity the world needs.

I beg to disagree. I think that this kind of people do play a vital role in todays world order. Their participation is crucial to the well being and continuation of the status quo.
Fortunately world-leading countries governements and decision makers are well aware of this fact which explains why they do consider the arab "elites" as important allies. Not only do these "elites" perform essential tasks like ensuring the continuation of oil production and flow and keeping their countries in backwardness, but also spend their money in the civilizied countries. you cannot ask for a better deal.
Just try to imagine that smart people who do care about their country men took control of these rich areas. That would for sure change the world as we know it today!
My humble opinion is that those who do bennifit from the current world order -like most of us in this forum- should really learn to appreciate the kind of human being described in this thread to their real value.

There's nothing wrong with sending your car half way across the world for an oil change. This guy has the money, let him spend his money the way he wants.

Criticizing him is like criticizing anyone else who travels by private jet, why cant they fly with airlines like others do?
Or why do we see only 1 person in 1 car, and so on...

Why is this news?

The plane was most likely flying that route anyway, with or without the car in it. Who cares if the plane had some extra cargo. The environmental angle is fairly retarded.

Maybe that is where he originally bought the car. I wouldn't want to pull in to the local Valvoline Instant Oil Change with a new Lamborghini. I also wouldn't want to bring it to Billy Bob's Car Repair & Towing shop down the road. It is not exactly a car that you drive up some ramps in your garage and change the oil on yourself.
