bears, and old russian mining companies, along with alot of birdwatchers yearly from europe. It also has a doomsday vault full of seeds incase all plant life is destroyed for some reason or another. Thriving night life and abundant agricultural resources.

An anecdote about the name "Svalbard": a French tourist guide criticizes the Norwegian for having changed the ancient German name of these Norwegian islands ("Spitzberg") into a...Norwegian name!(Svalbard); the writer of the guide said it was "nationalistic"...crazy Frogs! France claims illegaly the "terre adélie" (part of Antarcica) on the other side of the Planet but some French are weary of the Norwegian giving a Norwegian name to a Norwegian archipelago close to the Norwegian coast!
