Definitely South Florida. Much more urban, cool, cosmopolitan. GC is what Ft Laud was 30 years-extreme tacky. Plus if living in So Fla, u can escape to cool places like the Florida Keys, West Coast Florida for quiet beautiful beaches if thats ur thing.

Rubbish. Australia is a short distance from Asia, and an even shorter distance from New Zealand. Yes, it's isolated from Europe, but like I said, we have Asia and some of the greatest Asian cities in the world (Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai) not very far away.

Fort lauderdale is fab.

Not aussie. Too far away and too underpopulated.

It takes over 9 hours to fly to Hong Kong/Shanghai/Tokyo from Gold Coast, you call that not very far?
You could compare it with flying from Copenhagen to Beijing or from Rome to Calcutta.

9 hours on plane is nothing: lean back, chill out and reset your mind to holiday mode. Europeans have such a warped view of distance. It must come from living in those tiny little countries...
