Moderator cut: We need to stay on topic. It's okay to discuss the IDEA but not the MEMBER.
The question was which language sounds best to each respondent. This is a subjective question. Some people like the sound of eastern languages, others don't. We should all be free to like the sound of whatever we want. It's not much different than asking what type of music sounds best to you. It has nothing to do with geopolitics. Either you like the sound of something or you don't.
As an example: Chinese is on my list of languages to learn. I have several course books sitting here waiting for me. I’m interested in learning it for its usefulness in general and because it’s ‘exotic’ compared to other languages I study. As far as the ‘sound’ of the language, I don’t like it at all. My choice. That says nothing about how I feel about Chinese people or Chinese culture. I simply don’t like the sound of it. I don’t like the sound of English either, and that’s my native language!

Exotic is really important. For me the most exotic languages were the best.
For example when i was young i really loved english since it was so foreign to me, but now im neutral on it since im fluent in it. So right now italian, french sometimes arabic i guess it depends on the dialect are the most exotic languages for me. Shanghainese is also nice for me but i dont like the other chinese dialects really, mandarin is ok sometimes as long as the dialect doesnt use alot of "er" i think that is mostly beijing.
My vote is Portuguese. It sounds like a cross between French & Spanish and so sexy. Perhaps because I don't understand a word Listening to "Girl from Ipanema" in original Portuguese with Jobim's voice singing sounds way better than Frank Sinatra.
I must concur to all voting for Portuguese (Brazilian and Portugal). I love listening to my old Sergio Mendes songs - lyrical sounding. My old mechanic was also Portuguese and even when he was arguing with his wife over the phone it sounded just great (though not for her, I'm sure as she eventually left him).
