In my view of a "perfect world", people think twice before judging one another.
- would there be a need to judge ?
Hm, didn't think of it that way. You're right...

Material possessions don't matter, and we can all share them because no one is jealous of another - everything belongs to everyone.
- Right on my friend !!!
I just thought I'd add a little side note here... My red notebook would still only be read by me. Ok?

The money you have or make, doesn't decide how important you are to society.
or anyone else..

No crime.
No wars.
- war is a crime, so no need to wish for *no wars*.
You're absolutely right. Crime does include quite a huge variety of bad things in the society.

Free education for all (we can pay for it with taxes - no one will mind because everyone loves everyone - or through volounteer work - I'd do it)
- Same here !
I can only agree

Work is for contributing to society and to socialize with others, not to make money to simply survive or make others jealous because of the money one makes.
- Certain groups have tried that. Called the *United Order*
... Interesting subject, but it seemed not to last since it disappeared ...

I haven't heard of that. Some googling on my behalf is needed. Was it some sort of collective or simply people doing it in their every day, average, normal life?

I'd also want sunshine 5 days a week, overcast one and rain/snow one (we need water, and some snow in the winter).
I agree with you there, but those rainy and overcast days better not be on the week end !!!
I usually work on the week ends (working for the church means working on holidays, Christmas, Eastern and week ends, oh well) so I don't mind Ok. But snow on week ends? For the kids, I mean?

Perpetual holiday-feelings (yes, even when we work. Ok, whatever...)
- You can have that now ... Just walk backwards into your work place ..
... makes you feel you are leaving ... ?

I'm going to have to try that one. Might get some funny looks, though...

Hej Sweden ... You live in Alaska now ? How does it compare to Sweden?
Right now I'm in Sweden, but I'll be heading over there sometime soon, probably. Alaska and Sweden... Well, northern Sweden and most of Alaska has quite alot in common. Colder (than around southern Sweden) and smaller trees and houses (they're tiny in Alaska, btw). Sweden's mainly socialist (though the current government is conservative, but that's hopefully going to change come next election) whilst Alaska's mainly republican. And of course, Alaska has plenty of guns (sorry, but that's what comes to my mind since we pretty much don't have them around here. Kind of scary waking up in the middle of the night and someone's shooting at something in the dark woods... My perfect world- no guns. No crime or war = no need for guns, I know...) Huge differences, really, when it comes to people and society. Pretty much the opposite. But it's ok. Anyway, Sweden's only 26 hours away with airplane
Which makes me think:
In a perfect world, passanger airplanes between Alaska and European countries go over the North pole instead of across the continental (lower 48) USA!

hey guys, you make me proud, which i never afforded myself to be..

My idea of a perfect world? One where people are judged by the content and quality of their character, whereby this judgement influences how they are seen by peers and society so as to ensure that those with good quality of character can be treated accordingly as opposed to ridiculed on the basis of their ethnicity or religion. It is my hope that, in a perfect world, this judgement will take the place of the social stereotypes and prejudices so endemic in our contemporary existence.

It was practiced a long time ago by the Latter Day Saints in Utah.

OK, you win, but I said rain .... did not think about snow .....

I used to live in Danderyd 1958-1960. Still have friends there. Have been back several times visiting between 1982 - 1988.

One in which the concept of money and wealth have no meaning at all! Money and greed is the root of all evil.

A perfect world would honestly, be boring. A would just wish for No Racism. I don't remember the quote exactly but it went somewhere along the lines of "If we lived in a perfect world, there would be nothing to fight for."

Are you a socialist, Swede? tell me about "socialism", then.
For me "socialism" is completely un-American, even anti-American, do you have an issue with that?
My ideal country anyway wouldn't be socialist, because I'm a Libertarian anyway.

I think my "that's hopefully going to change" means that I am
I know there are some who believe socialism is "anti"-XX, but then, most who do, don't know much about it. In my opinion, the perfect world would be a communistic one, but as of today, the closest to getting it "right" is socialism (IMHO), so I'll go with that for the moment. But in a perfect world, everyone would be in charge and no government needed, and everyone's equal. I believe that in the perfect world, it's all about humans, not money or corporations.
