Anyone has any ideas how one can look for a job in Colombia? Google is not too helpful

Why is it crazy off-the-wall? There are places in South America, like Colombia, that are closer to places in the US, like Florida, than other places in the US, and that are in the same geo-climatic region. Then, if you speak Spanish, you are already half the way there.
Now, generally speaking, I agree with TheCaliforniaBear that being there in person is your best bet.
However, if you have a special skill in a specific sector that gives you a competitive advantage, you could research companies in your sector doing business in Colombia, both US and Colombian, and write a good old-fashioned letter if you can find a contact person and address. Often a specialized trade magazine can be a good source. Better yet if you have a personal contact.
This is how I did it twenty years ago, when most people were too lazy or too incompetent to write a well-targeted letter in a foreign language.
But of course technology has changed: today an email or online application does virtually nothing to distinguish yourself.
Take stock of yourself and write a good curriculum (resume) in English and Spanish. Target industries and companies. Make a list of contacts. Try to canvass your already-existing contacts and see if any mesh with desired contacts in Colombia. Write a letter, make a phone call, get on a plane.
Good Luck!
