And we all know why.

Canada's really not boring if you compare it to the world. Sure, some podunk town in the middle of nowhere is boring in any country, but not every nation has great, fun cities like Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto.

4 hours bored in Rotterdam does not equate to the entire Netherlands being boring, I'd love to live in Amsterdam!

Most of America and Canada are hardly exciting. Yes there are some great cities, but beyond the cities, there are lots of boring small towns and places full of farmers, lumberjacks, hicks, red necks, mountain men and bible bashers.

I wouldn't want to live in a lot of the US, especially the bible belt. Who would want to live in the America of 'Footloose', 'Deliverance', 'Southern Comfort', 'First Blood', 'The Last Picture Show' or numerous other movies, or the America where they all sit out on the front porch and look over those wheat fields. The America where kids trapped in small towns in the middle of nowhere dream of their escape in to the real world, far away from the choking claustophobic confines of the small hick town where everyone knows your business. A lot of America is small town and very insular, with cities just a distant dream, hardly the most exciting of places.

I forgot to mention Napoleon Dynamite and Preston, Idaho. How exciting are whole states like Idaho.

I agree, a lot of the US is very boring away from the cities, and even then a lot of the cities are quite boring with the only thing happening in the downtown being business since all the shoppers go to out of town malls..

A lot of suburbs and rural areas miles from anywhere/

Suburbs are a constant feature of American life, parodied in so many films such as Edward Scissorhands and American Beauty.

The Colorado towns the makers of South Park grew up in must have been dull, if they used it as inspiration for the series.

Even a lot of US Cities don't have the city centres or walkability that most European Cities do, and I suppose parts of America can seem verty boring. Lots of similar shops in malls and towns surrounded by miles after mile of corn fields. That's enough to drive anyone crazy. Even the American classic 'It's a Wonderful Life', is about a man who dreams of escaping from the small town he has spent his life in.

Then there are weird laws relating to the bible bashers and hillbillies.
