I say it mockingly every once in awhile...but "my bad." Seriously, that's so 1995, it sounded idiotic then, and I can't believe I still hear it with a degree of regularity more than a decade later.

You know what else annoys me? When people go "that's so xxxx."

"We're pregnant." No, you are pregnant, not your husband or boyfriend. The combo words drive me up the wall, too! There seems a constant need to come up with new terms that are meant to be cute or hip or God knows what. "Selfie," do we really need a term for taking a picture of yourself? Facebook, and the like have trebled the frequency of these idiotic sayings. There's a reason they call it terminally hip, its a morbid irreversible condition.
Modern youths with their surplus of gratis self-esteem think the rules of the language are passe, and that they're all innovators on par with the bard. English with it's Anglo-Saxon/Latin roots reflects a unique way of thinking, which at it's straight-forward best can be devastatingly profound.
Phew, that felt great, thanks! (I'm not that old by the way)
Also, we now live under the tyranny of the exclamation mark!--!!!

The new term, Selfie, is stupid. The text speak used constantly is effing annoying. I nolonger keep up with it, don't want to know what it means, nor do I want to read it. I was talking to my ex for about a month for reasons not being posted and at some point, was like; "what the kcuf is 'SMH'?"

We have phones that can use over 120 alphanumeric characters in a text message, why are saving letters and punctuation?

I am not bothered by lingo and slang, words used for filler, whatever, there are more less trivial things to put emotion to.
