Many years ago, I was in a restaurant whose hand-lettered board listing daily specials included something with "Holland Days Sauce". I was tempted to ask the waitress if I could substitute Holland Nights Sauce, but I was able to restrain myself.

I think Reuben sandwiches win the prize for most frequently misspelled.
Not a thread title, but an article title in the local weekly paper spied by my sister:
"Support Group for Homicide Victims"
Pictured a facilitator sitting with a circle of gunshot and stabbing victims propped up in chairs. "So how are we feeling today? Anyone want to share?"
Some people simply are not good grammarians and/or spellers. If someone asks me to change a thread title for clarification, I will do so if I agree that it needs to be corrected. However, I don't scan the fora looking for thread titles which are unclear or which contain typos. There aren't enough hours in a day to do that!

Snicker. I just edited a poll in the Food & Drink forum.
Some people don't seem to know the difference between every day and everyday. Just couldn't stand looking at it.
The poll is about coffee. I haven't had any yet, maybe that's why it bugged me.
Nope, it's regional. In the NY/NJ metropolitan area, we say we are standing ON line and not IN line. It certainly predates 'online", which refers to the Internet.
A friend of mine who moved from NJ to the DC area forty years ago told me recently that someone heard her say "on line" and mentioned it. Some speech patterns we never lose.
Like "y'all". That drives ME nuts, but I understand it's a regional way of speaking.
