My family and I will be moving to Cheyenne very soon and are looking at homes in both the Central and East Triads. Heard from a parent at Central that it is good, and similar from an East parent.

Can anyone help me with what the differences are? Difference in student population? Activities? Academic achievement? I believe one has an IB program and the other an AP. Is one HS more into sports than the other, or are they both? I have young girls who are more the thespian, science club, band, arts, brainy type who have attended schools where you aren't anybody unless you are an athlete and they are ready for more options. However, we are working class, NOT elite. Will one school be a better fit? Don't want my girls looked down on if they are working class kids.

I believe it is good that both parents I talked to believe their school is best....good sign their kids are getting what they need.

Really both are the same, sure there is a rivalry between both schools but the education your kids will recieve is the same. Some courses that one school does not offer is offered by the other so your child may cross town for 1 course but many kids do it. I graduated from East and my wife graduated from Central. Even though she turns her nose whenever we drive by East, we both turned out fine and all is good.
