I just bought a real nice home its a 3 bed room home total remodel, and at a great price. The best realtor in town is Earl at Silver Spur the reason I am moving to Thermopolis is the Hot Springs. Wyoming's boom has not quite hit Thermopolis.
The Veteran clinic is in Riverton less than 1 hour drive and also the weather is mild in the winter.
We will be moving into the home on Sept 1st it took a year to find the right place at a price we could afford Now I will never have to move again. ugh back to packing lol.

Congrats on finding the right place for your needs.

The hot springs has a "free" admission session available, so inquire about that and see if the times work for you instead of having to pay admission every time you go.

Great day here the water is 95 at the pool and I am unpacked. Now i can nap and stay warm the freezer is full of elk and bison no need to go any where but to the pool to swim We had some snow last week its better living here than on the coast with all that rain and 100 mph winds

Just a note, walker; the wind stopped after a couple of days. Cleanup is about done. Our low is mid-30's. Yours is probably +6 or so.
Think I'll take our Elk outta the freezer.
Uh, no, don't think we'll be swimming today. Missing a couple of hotpots.
Might mention that bison is a biggie out here as well. A few ranches around.
While I envy the warm pools of Thermopolis, when you get out of the water, you're still in Thermopolis. I don't necessarily envy that - especially this time of year - but at least it isn't Shoshone. Enjoy!
Now, since you're going to be around the area, allow me to mention the lake west of Riverton (not Boysen, to the north) - if you can score a boat, there is Wall-Eye in there which makes a decent change from trout. There is also pretty good swimming in the summer with beaches on the north end and southwest end.
There is also Morton Res farther west of that - which is another good, little fishin' hole but always windy and colder than the big lake (if I could recall the name, I'd tell you now). I never did much good fishing in Boysen - found a couple swimming spots but they weren't real nice.

Oh Thank you, Thank you! Yes it is. I'm living right here 3 blocks from the Ocean wracking my brain trying to remember the name of that lake ... DUH!

Now, while you're here, there's another small reservoir out past Morton Res.(I think) - do you know the name of that one?
