My husband is hellbent on moving from Illinois back to Wyoming. He's from there. I have my concerns about the cost of rentals there though, IF you can find one. Are there any places to pitch a tent? My first thought was a large cardboard box under a highway, but I'm thinking we can probably spring for a tent.
Granted, being a horror movie fan, calling a tent home makes me more than a bit apprehensive. No one is EVER seen being dragged to a certain death from a cardboard box, but a tent, wow. You're just doomed from the get go. I hear Sheridan is pretty much crime free and that's terrific, but hey, Camp Crystal Lake was crime free too until Jason and his crazy mama came along.

I'm joking, of course.

Default Hmm.........I say stay in IL wolfcreekgal !

I know I wouldn`t want to live in a tent or a cardboard box. I would venture a guess the kids don`t either. I would dig in my heels girl and stay put before you guys get into a bad situation ! Going there with no place to live and no wad of cash seems like a grave mistake My 2 cents from miss practical here.

When I moved to rocksprings in the mid 1970's. People lived in tents along the highways and roads outside of town. THey lived in storage sheds. I even know a family that did this for almost a year! You can live on blm, forest, state lands. Just remember to move BEFORE the alloted days to another campground. You should try to rotate between at least three sites. Ha, ha. It' totally legal.
