Im prepared for the weather for sure....I have all of the gear...

Just wondering if anyone can update me on the weather in Wyoming...Do you have much snow?
Has it been a cold or mild winter so far?

It's been 20-30 degrees above normal for temps. We have had little to no snow. It has been a very mild winter in the Sheridan area.

I started a thread earlier this year to find out what the weather was like at your house in Wyoming, but the weather was so mild this winter, it got boring. This is the mildest winter that I can remember for the last 24 years. I believe that at my house this winter, we only had 8 days where the morinings were below zero.

It's usually colder and snowier in Star Valley than in NE Wyoming. I live 60 (highway) miles west of Sundance and the weather here is pretty similar to that in Sundance. It's currently 37F here (11:15 a.m.) with no wind and a clear sky. It's forecast to reach 44F this afternoon. Forecast highs for the coming week range from 36F to 45F; forecast lows are 16F to 25F -- sunny to partly cloudy all week. There's little snow on the ground.

It's been a warm winter. I have yet to wear more than a fleece jacket liner for a coat this winter, but I'm usually only out of my car for 5-10 minutes at a time. Some days I'd have been more comfortable with a windbreaker over it, and obviously if I was going to be out in the open for hours at a time I'd need a heavy coat, parka, etc. On the other hand, the cold affects my wife more. She wears an alpine parka to work every day.
