Hi, there is such a nice feeling I get whenever I visit Wyoming that I would like to consider moving there. I live in Fort Collins CO, and my income here is derived from providing pet grooming services to local customers. I've been giving dogs baths and haircuts for the last six years and if I were to leave for Wyoming I'd have to start my pet grooming business over from scratch. I'm not sure what the market is like in Wyoming. So, I was hoping those of you who are pet owners could give me an idea by telling me how much notice you have to give your pet's groomer to get in for an appointment, and if you are happy with their work. Also, how difficult do you think it would be to rent pet-friendly housing?

There's a lot of existing competition for the pet grooming biz in Cheyenne area.

There's the walk-in trade and appointments at PetCo, and a bunch of independent groomers who work through the offices of the vets in the area.

On top of that, several people who just have business cards posted around town who work out of their houses.

I think you'd have to do some advertising and network around town to build up anything that would be a real income producing business against the existing groomers.

Renting pet friendly housing comes down to what your expectations are for housing and where your price point is for affordability. I'd suggest that you contact the property management companies in town directly for their current listings to get an idea where the price points are right now.
