Hi. I've been reading this site for a long time but this is my first time posting. I was looking for some input on archery clubs in the area. I live in Cheyenne and have been snubbed by the Cheyenne Field Archers. In trying to get information on their club I have found them to be rude, arrogant and I have found one board member to be creepy. I've come to believe that they just are not interested in new memberships. I'm looking for input on other clubs that wouldn't be too far to travel to. I'm thinking Laramie or Fort Collins but I'm open to suggestions. I'd hate to be fooled, pay dues and find out that they are all the same. Thanks!

Hi Omnivore. Thank you so much for your reply. Do you have first hand experience with the Fort Collins range? I'm looking for personal input before signing up with a club.

It's a public facility, not a private club. Friends have used it and cite that they have no problems there. I imagine it's per use, not a fee as if you were paying for a private club.

Hi Tanya,

You may want to check out the Laramie County Shooting Sports Complex. It's new (just east of Cheyenne off of I-80). They are a public facility and they have both indoor and outdoor archery ranges (in addition to rifle and pistol ranges). They have a website here:

Official Site of Laramie County Government in Laramie County, Wyoming

Hope this helps!

Tyster
