The Wyoming Supreme Court ruled Tuesday a bill that stripped state schools chief Cindy Hill of much of her power last year was unconstitutional.

I think Cindy Hill and Gov. Meade and his cronies are fighting a public and private battle for some reason here and we only get what they absolutely have to tell us. Both sides are not telling everything as to why.....

I hate to even get started on this. MOST educators in Wyoming are unhappy about this decision....however, as voting citizens who are typically more aware of statutes, laws, etc. than many people we know the legality (or lack of) of how things were handled in removing Director Hill from her duties. The Supreme Court has to do what they feel is law abiding....however, a 3-2 vote shows that they weren't even in concensus on this. My personal opinion is that Ms. Hill seemed to be gloating about the decision (my take on seeing the letter to supts as well as seeing her on tv......no proof, just my thoughts), and that bothers me. It will be very interesting to see how things go over the next several months. As a special education administrator who is on the exec board of the Wyo. Assn. of Spec. Ed. Admins. I was very pleased with interim Director Richard Crandall's involvement right off the get-go with special education in Wyoming. He did more in a short time for our area of education than Cindy Hill ever did. I will be sorely disappointed should Mr. Crandall not be able to continue his work with the special education professionals in our state
