The 2008 will soon drop to the bottom of the matrix, so won't be too pricey. But the 2013 vehicles will still be near the top of the schedule.

In Sheridan County, we're kind of lucky. Our Sheriff started a deal in the County. Just call the Sheriff's office. Give them your name, address, and phone number, tell them you need a VIN inspection. A Deputy will stop by your home within the next 2 days. Thanks Sheriff Dave Hoffmeir!

Wow that is nice, to get started in the registration process. You do have to get the VIN completed first. Then the registration and title change.

In Laramie county, a call to the sheriff's dispatcher will put your VIN request into the non-emergency que. It may be that a deputy is nearby and able to respond, or it could take days. I've used this when I had an unregistered vehicle with no plates on it that was a resto project for years, but it can be real iffy as to when you'll get a response. You guys in Sheridan are lucky to have a 2 day response window ... I waited one time for over a week, never knowing when a deputy could get to our place.

I had a neighbor in a bigger hurry to get a vehicle on the road borrow my creaky old 2-axle trailer ... The one with the daylight showing through where the planks are supposed to be ... And haul a truck into town for the VIN inspection.
